I would say if you are getting into film the way I did, bypassing school and just going for it… it’s a tough life. There is no guild. It’s sheer will and determination. It’s getting up in the morning and being a do-er. It’s looking at your work and criticizing it to death and continually striving to make it better or top it. Never give up on the dream. Just don’t stop.
Sasquatch on Lake Superior: Million View Re-Release Coming Soon
The viewers have spoken and something is on the wind…
When creating Sasquatch on Lake Superior (A Documentary) I really didn’t expect the impact this film would make. It was a basic mix and didn’t expect it to reach so many people. I have learned to mix better audio with subsequent projects following the many complaints about sound effects that are either too loud or annoying. So as we approach 1 million views, I plan on releasing a more satisfying version of the film, with a brand new mix down of the audio and removal of sound effects, making the interviews and narration really pop. All the criticism received really has improved my audio engineering skills as a mixer and producer leading to professional equipment and narration skills.
“It is my hope to rectify this situation with fans and gain new followers interested in the subject of Sasquatch sightings around the great lake, which nobody knew of until the documentary was released.”
With a new mix, viewers can now enjoy the film they’ve asked for as it has been something I have been thinking about since the first comments came in on day 1. The film has been a joy to re-mix with a revisit, as I really have not seen it for a very long time. Also its impact should be addressed as well because for those who don’t know, Sasquatch on Lake Superior has been seen on television here in northwestern Ontario, and has also led to my being on television news, radio, major paranormal podcasts, and has been shared by the big Sasquatch websites. Its release has also connected me to people in the Squatching universe, while receiving many new reports of encounters leading to the production of Sasquatch on Lake Superior II.
“I am extremely thankful for the attention this film has received, and also plan on a third installment in the future.”
Destination – Nipigon
“If home is where the heart is, the heart of Canada truly lies upon the bank of the Nipigon River.” ~ Dee McCullay 2019
For those of you who know me, know I have a huge love of history, especially local history. I am certainly glad to release my newest project in collaboration with the Nipigon Historical Museum called Destination – Nipigon.
Using photographic works of EC Everett, VFX, CGI, video, audio memoirs & articles, this authoritative and concise history covers everything from the early inhabitants of the area, all the way through to Nipigon’s incorporation, to the years that lay ahead of us, from the people, places, events, & culture that make this small town in Northern Ontario unique. Presented in a heartfelt, insightful, & engaging style, great for teaching, learning & for the enjoyment of those share our love of history.
The release is one of my bucket list projects I’ve dreamed of producing for a very long time, and it is with great thanks to the Nipigon Historical museum and the Township of Nipigon, & its residents that this dream has come true.
Destination – Nipigon is presented here in its entirety, while the film is available for in house viewing at the museum as they ready their YouTube channel for release of the 38 part series.
